3. In the left menu, select Exchange. If it isn’t visible, click Show all.
4. Click Classic Exchange Admin Center to open it.
5. Go to Recipients and click Migration.
6. Click … (More) and choose Migration endpoints.
7. Click + to add a new migration endpoint.
8. Now, select IMAP, then click Next.
9. Enter imap.ionos.com in the IMAP server field and click Next.
10. Enter a name for the endpoint and click New to create it.
11. Close the Migration Endpoints window.
12. Click + and select Migrate to Exchange Online.
13. Select IMAP migration, upload your CSV file & click Next.
14. Enter a name for the migration batch and click Next.
15. Click New to start the migration.

Limitation

• This method only migrates emails. It does not migrate contacts, calendar and tasks.
• You need the IONOS username and password for every mailbox, and the CSV stores them in plain text, so delete it afterward.
• Create all user accounts in Microsoft 365 before starting the migration.
• IMAP migration has limits on mailbox size and email size.
• Some folders like Sent, Drafts & other special folders may not transfer correctly.
