IBM Notes (formerly known as Lotus Notes) is a collaborative email client best suited for mid-scale and large-scale organizations. It offers various business collaboration features such as emailing, calendaring, micro-blogging, file sharing and many more. Some added advantages, which the users get with it, are its security features that enable the users to secure their database from access unintentional users.
At instances, when a user wants to read mails, create contacts or calendar entries, it is prompted to select the application with which it has to be done.
